Live from Taco Loco Is Out Now – One Mic, One Take, One Night (and a New Song)

Live from Taco Loco is out now—and it marks the start of a new chapter.
I’ve wanted to get back into music for years. But between work, life, and being a world-class procrastinator, it just kept slipping. I’ve spent years building out gear, collecting plugins, and trying to make everything sound perfect. But this year, I decided to do the opposite: keep it simple. Keep it honest. Just play.
On April 7, I performed a live solo set at Taco Loco in Asheboro, NC as part of Crash Radio, produced by RhinoLeap Productions. One mic. One take. One night. That’s it. No edits, no overdubs—just me and a guitar in front of a sold-out crowd.
I played four songs, including Opened for Third Eye Blind—the first song I’ve written in years. Heck, this was the first time I’ve played LIVE in years! That night marked the beginning of something new for me: the freedom to create without overthinking, and to share music as it happens.

This is the first live EP I’ve ever released. It’s not perfect—but that’s the point. It captures something real.
One of the best parts of the night was getting to share it with friends. Shane, his wife Becca, my wife Carmen, and I turned it into a little double date—part show, part hang. With a margarita and a burrito in hand… what’s better than that? I’m so grateful for their friendship and the support we’ve shared over the years. Nights like that remind me why I love doing this.
And there’s more on the way. Next up is a collection of songs I’ve been recording at our cabin in the same raw, stripped-down style. I can’t wait to share that with you soon.
