The Daily Chorus: How a Song a Day Helped Me Find My Way Back

At the end of 2024, my life changed in a way I didn’t see coming. I found myself disoriented, unsure of what was next for me professionally. In that fog, I turned to the one thing I could still control—music.

I made a simple promise to myself: learn and share one new chorus every single day. That small ritual—playing, singing, connecting—gave me purpose. It reminded me of the joy I’ve always found in music and in sharing it with others.

That’s how The Daily Chorus was born.

The songs I choose are all over the map—some I’ve loved since childhood, others carry deep meaning, and plenty I just learned for fun. I’ve covered everything from Neil Young, The Avett Brothers, Radiohead, and Green Day to Don McLean, Beyoncé, Mumford & Sons, Third Eye Blind, and Old Crow Medicine Show. I’ve also started weaving in my own original songs.

Each video is short—usually under a minute—but I try to pair the chorus with a quick anecdote, message, dedication, or memory. It’s become a time capsule of where I am, who I’m thinking of, and how I’m feeling that day.

As of writing this blog, I’ve posted 152 straight days of The Daily Chorus.

You can check out the full running list (with links to every video across TikTok, YouTube, Insta & more) right here:

I don’t know how long I’ll keep it going—but I’m in it right now. And I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who’s watched, liked, shared, commented, or requested a song. A special thank you to my family, who’ve supported me through the transition and continue to cheer me on—even when I’m singing from the porch for the 80th day in a row.

You can find The Daily Chorus on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, and Bluesky—I post everywhere. It’s a way to stay connected to friends, family, and longtime fans… and to share my voice, stories, and songs with new people who might stumble across it.

If you enjoy what you hear, please share it. Every little bit helps this thing grow.

Thanks for being here.
